ISKCON PARASSALA
The ISKCON temple at Parassala (a small town at the southern border of Kerala and Tamil Nadu) was established in 2002 and through Sunday programs, feasts, festivals, book distribution and the annual Rath Yatra, we hope to propagate the philosophy of Krishna consciousness to the people in this area.
The main deity in the temple altar is of Sri Sri Jaganath, Baladev and Subadhra. The temple complex also houses a Goshala (protective shelter for cows) and a school imparting Vedic education to young children. We, unfortunately, at the moment, do not have guest houses, but, if informed well in advance, can help devotees find accommodation in nearby areas or in Trivandrum city.
The Sri Adikesavaperumal temple in Thiruvattar, Thirupathisaram near Nagercoil, ISKCON Nagercoil, Sthanumalayan temple in Suchindram, Sri Krishnaswamy temple in Neyyatinkara and many other places of Vaishnava interest are easily accessible from ISKCON Parassala.
